Course Overview

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to work in a variety of hospitality venues. You will cover, cleaning and hygiene practise, understanding the food act, foodborne allergens, food safety plans, managing perishable stock, working safely in the workplace.

  • SITHKOP001-Clean kitchen premises and equipment
  • SITXFSA001-Use hygienic practices for food safety
  • SITXFSA002-Participate in safe food handling practices
  • SITXINV002-Maintain the quality of perishable items
  • SITXWHS001-Participate in safe work practices

Eligibility

To be eligible for a fully subsidised place you must meet the Smart and Skilled eligiblity – see link https://smartandskilled.nsw.gov.au

AND MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING TARGET AREAS:

  •   Age 15 years or older
  • Live or work in New South Wales
  •   Have left school
  •   Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder
    or New Zealand Citizen.
