SIT30916 – Certificate III in Catering Operations 
Course Overview
The Certificate III in Catering Operations offers learners a practical and theoretical experience. The program has been designed to build confident skill sets across both front and back of house tasks and responsibilities in the catering arena.
These skills, fostered and supported with a professionally sculptured aptitude for the industry, will ensure learners have acquired the key elements to persue successful opportunities in roles such as cooks, catering assistant, cafe operator,  retail food outlet operator and much more. 
Entry Requirement
International Students: All international students must be a minimum of 18 years of age and meet the standard entry level for international students of either:
  • English Proficiency 5.5 with no band score below 5
  • 18 years+
Domestic Students: Recommended Year 10 or equivalent in the Australia education system.

Course Duration
This course has a duration of up to 1 year (Part Time) for campus based program delivery.
Work Placement
It is a requirement that whilst undertaking this course you have access to a workplace through either paid or unpaid work employment for a minimum of 3 months (1 term). 
This will allow you to practise what you have learnt and increase your experience working with others in this field. It is compulsory and applies against the completion of a unit or Units of Competency that form part of your full qualification.

Students have the option of sourcing their own relevant employment or alternatively can apply for an Internship with the Industry Work Placement (IWP) Department at Evolution.
