What is a Committee?
A committee is “a group of people officially delegated to perform a function”.
The function of a committee can include:
• investigating of events;
• Performing assessments and reviews;
• consideration of reports;
• ensuring legislative or funding requirements are met; or
• overseeing the implementation of plans or policy.
What does a committee do?
Student representatives from each term will make up the committee, they will be involved with, decisions affecting students, additional feedback to the college re-student issues, assisting orientate new students, supplying articles and photos for student newsletter, organizing social events and celebrations. The student committee will meet each term with Ashley (Student Welfare Co-ordinator).

Suggestion Box: There are student committee suggestion boxes at each campus. Please feel free to give any suggestion/complains/feedbacks. THe box will be opened each month by the student committee chairman, and Student Welfare Coordinator, and your issues or suggestions will be discussed. Serious issues may be referred to our complaints or appeals policy (available in the Student Handbook). You can leave anonymous suggestions, but if you'd like us to get back to you, please remember to leave your name and student number.
