Student Visas & Immigration

Students wanting to study in Australia apply for a student (temporary) visa in their country of origin after they have received a letter of offer or Confirmation of Enrolment. Your visa subclass and assessment level will affect the types of documents you need to send or bring with your student visa application.

Students may not change from an educational institution within the first 6 months of their course without permission from the DIAC. This permission will be granted only in exceptional circumstances. Students must notify the Institute in writing 2 days ahead of any change in their residential address. The Institute is obliged to notify DIAC the relevant information on overseas students.
